Provided are: a polyacetal resin composition which generates less formaldehyde and has excellent sliding properties; and a sliding member which is obtained by molding the polyacetal resin composition. A polyacetal resin composition which contains, per 100 parts by weight of (a) a polyacetal resin having 0.5% by weight or less of labile end groups, 10-150 parts by weight of (b) a cellulose fiber powder having an aspect ratio of 1-20 and an a-cellulose content of 98-100%, 0.01-3 parts by weight of (c) a hindered phenol antioxidant, 0.01-3 parts by weight of (d) at least one nitrogen-containing compound that is selected from among aminotriazine compounds, guanamine compounds, hydrazide compounds and polyamides, and 0.01-3 parts by weight of (e) a long-chain fatty acid derivative having at least one hydroxyl group in each molecule.
