<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a back-up stucco material for manufacturing a repetitively recycled mold for precision casting; a method of manufacturing the back-up stucco material; and the mold for precision casting obtained by using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The back-up stucco material for manufacturing the mold for precision casting consists of nonspherical monolithic refractory particles having an Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>-SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>-based or Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>-based refractory composition containing at least Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>as a major component, constituted of mullite or corundum or a mineral which is a complex thereof, and being less than 5% in apparent porosity, and is configured by removing a sharp corner part by rounding a monolithic corner part generated by grinding before or after baking a molding consisting of such refractory composition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
