<p>PURPOSE: A user interface providing system based on a service environment and a method thereof are provided to use various applications in a smart TV through an optimal interface by receiving an interface to be executed through an input terminal. CONSTITUTION: An input terminal(110) transmits profile information and a server(120) analyzes the information to identify an interface to be supported by the terminal. The server selects an interface suitable for the input terminal from the identified interfaces to transmit selected interface information to the input terminal and a content providing terminal(130). The content providing terminal executes and displays content corresponding to the interface information received from the server. The profile information includes an intrinsic identifier of the terminal, system information of the terminal, information about interfaces operated by the terminal, and information about applications to be executed through the terminal.
