<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve fuel efficiency by reducing cooling loss of an engine. <P>SOLUTION: This variable valve apparatus is structured such that, when increasing an operation angle or a lift amount of an intake valve, a lift operation angle center is moved to the retard side, and the movement distance to the retard side of the lift operation angle center for the increase of the operation angle or the lift amount increases in a range on the side where the operation angle or the lift amount is larger than a predetermined operation angle or lift amount as compared with a range on the side where the operation angle or the lift amount is smaller than the predetermined operation angle or lift amount. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
