[Problem] To provide effective wiping between a movable contact and fixed contact of a push-switch. [Solution] In an initial state in which a push-rod (2) is depressed, a second coil spring (8) causes a base (41) of a movable contact disk (40) that supports a movable contact (55) to be tilted and abut sloping projections (70 and 71) on a moving block (60). When the movable contact rises and makes contact with a fixed contact (33) in conjunction with the extending of the push-rod, the base abuts a stopper (20). Since only the moving block rises thereafter, the base conforms to the outside edge of the stopper and the movable contact disk rotates, as the pressure from the projections is released. This action causes the movable contact to undergo a large amount of sliding displacement relative to the fixed contact. A foot (52) of a movable contact plate that extends from the base and provides the movable contact is bent in advance by an arm (59) of a pressing member, so the contact pressure between the movable contact and fixed contact is high starting from the moment of contact. The large sliding displacement and high contact pressure provide remarkable wiping action. |
