PURPOSE: A Doppler spread estimation method and a device in mobile communications networks are provided to effectively detect aliasing by using Bessel function in the process of Doppler frequency estimation based on PSD(Power Spectral Density) peak detection. CONSTITUTION: An estimation part(420) temporarily estimates a maximum Doppler frequency by using channel values sampled in a frame according to a first cycle. A judgment part(450) produces at least one correlation value among at least one channel value additionally sampled in the frame and at least one channel value sampled according to the first cycle. The judgment part judges the generation of aliasing by using the correlation value. A determination part(460) determines a final maximum Doppler frequency according to the generation of the aliasing.
