PURPOSE: An automatic communication addressing method of a multiple type automatic air conditioner is provided to rapidly process an addressing range and process of an indoor unit failed for addressing rapidly and to rapidly enable to address while maintaining a specific address of an existing indoor unit again when connecting to a new indoor unit. CONSTITUTION: An automatic communication addressing method of a multiple type automatic air conditioner sets a whole address range in an outdoor unit and the highest address ranges per each section and transmits the whole address range and the highest address ranges per each section to indoor units respectively. A plurality of the indoor units generates an arbitrary first random number within the whole address range. When the indoor unit receives the highest address range per each section is coincided with the highest address range, the indoor unit responses to the outdoor unit. When the response of the indoor unit is a single response, the outdoor unit addresses a specific address in which an address value of the indoor unit can be calculated to the indoor unit.
