PURPOSE: A stereoscopic image display apparatus and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to prevent a cross talk phenomenon of the light, thereby prevent the degradation of the brightness and improve the view angle. CONSTITUTION: The stereoscopic image display apparatus comprises the first substrate(14), a color filter layer(12), a black matrix(13), a polarizing plate(16), and a patterned retarder(18). The first substrate defines a plurality of pixel regions. The black matrix is formed between the pixel regions of the first side of the first substrate. A plurality of odd number color filter layers and the even number color filter layer is formed at the pixel regions of the first side of the first substrate. The first polarizing plate is formed on the second side of the first substrate which is the opposite of the first side. A plurality of odd number retarder and the even number retarder are formed on the first polarizing plate. The roughness is overlapped in the black matrix in order to be formed in the first substrate and induce the light. |
