PURPOSE: A flat panel display is provided to sense the input of video data having 4:3 aspect ratio and to prevent the output of data voltage output of source drive integrated circuits. CONSTITUTION: A display panel(2) defines each pixel. A gate driving unit operates gate lines. A data driver includes source drive integrated circuits. A timing control unit(6) controls a gate and the data driver. The timing control unit senses the aspect ratio of inputted video data and classifies a displaying area and a non-displaying area.
