PURPOSE: A doorlock device capable of certifying multiple smart keys and a method thereof are provided to streamline a certification procedure for the multiple smart keys and reduce power consumption necessary for the certification procedure. CONSTITUTION: A certification mode for multiple smart keys and set-up information for certification are inputted in an input unit(110). A memory(120) stores a certification table in which the certification information of each smart key is recorded. An LF transmitter(130) transmits an LF signal for the certification of smart key in the certification mode to each smart key. An RF receiver(140) receives RF signal including ID of a smart key as a response to the LF signal from each smart key. A smart key certifying unit(150) determines the validity of the corresponding smart key, conducts the certification of the corresponding smart key, and records the certification information in the certification table. A doorlock controller(160) operates a door in an unlocked state when the certification of the corresponding smart key is obtained through the smart key certifying unit. And a sound/image output unit(170) outputs the operation state of the doorlock controller into the sound and image.
