A washing time controlling method according to a pollution level in a dish washer is provided to maximize washing efficiency with reducing unnecessary washing time, and water and power loss. A washing time controlling method according to a pollution level in a dish washer includes the steps of: performing a first preliminary washing, inspecting the pollution level, and comparing the inspected pollution level with a reference pollution level(S10); performing a second preliminary washing if the inspected pollution level exceeds the reference pollution level in a step of comparing the inspected pollution level with the reference pollution level(S35); and re-inspecting the pollution level after the second preliminary washing. The washing time is set by the inspected pollution level. |
