PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to constantly maintain the attaching/dissolving reaction of metal ion which dendrite growth is restrained on the surface of the current collector, thereby preventing performance reduction due to nonhomogeneity even at long charging/discharging. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery(10) comprises: water-soluble electrolyte(26) in which metal ion is dissolved; a pair of current collectors(13,14,17) capable of the metal ions being attached to the surface with metal state at charging; and a dendrite growth preventing means attached to the surface of the current collector. The metal ion is at least one metal ion selected from Pb, Zn, Sn, Fe, Mn, Ni, Cu, or Ag. |
