<p>The present invention provides a PTC device that has a PTC element, which has a layer-shaped PTC component, which is prescribed by main surfaces facing each other, and layer-shaped electrodes extending on the main surfaces, the PTC device also having insulating layers positioned on each main surface via each of the layer-shaped electrodes. The PTC device is a laminated body in which an insulating layer, PTC element, and insulating layer are laminated in this order. The laminated body has a first end part and a second end part, and a first side electrode and a second side electrode are disposed respectively on the first end part and second end part. One of the layer-shaped electrodes of the PTC element extends in a state separated from the first side electrode and the second side electrode, and the other layer-shaped electrode of the PTC element extends to the second end part, separated from the first end part, and is electrically connected to the second side electrode. At least the first side electrode extends along the entire laminated body in the direction of thickness on the first end part and further on the first end part of one insulating layer, and the first end part has a through hole reaching to the one layer-shaped electrode. The through hole has a conductive component that electrically connects the one layer-shaped electrode and the first side electrode.</p> |
