PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for preventing wear of either one or both of a magnetizing head and a rotor for a rotary device in magnetizing the rotor by contact with the magnetizing head.

SOLUTION: A rotor for a rotary device includes: a rotor member 101 as a cylindrical holder; and a magnet layer 103, as a body to be magnetized, that is fixed to an outer circumferential surface of the rotor member 101. An outer circumferential surface of the magnet layer 103 is coated with a layer 104 of a sliding member as a fluororesin layer that is formed by coating.
