<p>[Problem] To provide an information management system and information management method which reduce storage area used by a main server at biometric authentication time by moving information temporarily stored at a server at the biometric authentication time to an IC card at the time of the next usage of the IC card. [Solution] In this information management method, after the biometric authentication, first information acquired from a terminal and second information related to biometric information of the first server are stored, the second information is updated using the first information and the second information by way of a second server, and after authentication using an IC card, if there is the updated second information related to ID information stored upon the second server, the terminal acquires information to be written to the IC card among the updated second information from the second server so as to write the information upon the IC card, and after the terminal has written the updated second information upon the IC card, information related to the updated second information is deleted from the second server.</p> |
