The purpose of the present invention is to transmit multiple channels' worth of audio data while maintaining sound quality and sense of localization in a sound field even when playing multiple songs using one daisy-chained speaker system, or when adjoining channels have weak correlations. This audio transmission device (1) is provided with a transmission control unit (106) that divides at least some of multiple speakers (2) into N groups (where N is an integer expressed by N = 2) of speakers, and sequentially transmits sampling data to each of the divided N groups of speakers at the rate of once every N times. Each speaker (2) is provided with an interpolated data generation unit (205) that generates interpolated data from real data, which are obtained as sampling data, in order to interpolate sampling data that are received through (N-1) rounds of transmission.
