<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform proper screen processing corresponding to an attribute, and to reduce defects such as a pseudo contour caused by a difference in resolution. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: dot arrangement means 111 for arranging dots according to a specified array corresponding to an attribute; boundary extracting means 112 for extracting a periphery of an area, in which images identical in color value and different in attribute overlap each other or are brought in close vicinity to each other, as a boundary part; dot selecting means 113 for selecting one dot in the case where three dots arranged adjacently to one another are arranged on the same circumference of one circle, in the boundary part, where the attribute associated with one of the three dots is different from the attributes associated with the two other dots and where the attributes associated with the two other dots are identical with each other; dot shifting means 114 for shifting the selected dot to a predetermined position between the dot and the center of the circle; and output means and an output section 17 for outputting an image composed of the shifted dots. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
