<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forging press method using a mechanical forging press machine in which a high-load press working can be achieved using a relatively low output motor. <P>SOLUTION: A servomotor is employed as a main motor 11 for rotating a flywheel 12 of a forging press machine 10, and after the main motor 11 is rotated to accumulate rotational energy sufficiently in the flywheel 12 while a clutch 14 is being disengaged, the clutch 14 is engaged, thus performing press operation. Accordingly, a high-load press operation is enabled by a relatively low output motor. The main motor 11 is idled at the moment of the press working, so that the rotational energy accumulated in the flywheel 12 is consumed, which permits speed reduction of a slide 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
