<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a casting slab in which surface cracking is hard to occur when in hot rolling while attaining the prevention of the surface cracking and the prevention of warpage when cooling a continuous casting slab consisting of a wide range of steel types from low-carbon steel to steel types of high hardenability. <P>SOLUTION: In a region from the installation position of a support roll of 9-1 which is the straightening completion position of a continuous casting slab 6 after complete solidification in continuous casting to the installation position of a support roll 9-3 which is the machine end position of a continuous casting machine 11, and in at least one zone between two pairs of a support roll pair adjoining in the direction of casting, from a nozzle line 12 for cooling consisting of more than four nozzles of 15-1 to 15-4 for cooling, cooling water is sprayed to whole circumference of the surface of the continuous casting slab 6 to cool the continuous casting slab 6 uniformly in a circumference direction, the continuous casting slab 6, which has been cooled, is cut into a predetermined length to manufacture a casting slab 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
