<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor for improving the security of a system and user's convenience by individually setting disk device protection processing about a plurality of disk devices, and a disk device control method. <P>SOLUTION: A computer 10 includes an HDD(1) 115, an HDD(2) 116, an acceleration sensor 119, and an HDD Protection application 140 executed by a CPU 111. The HDD Protection application 140 sets whether to execute HDD Protection processing for each HDD.
