<p>The shut-off spray-nozzle unit is basically intended for use in injector orifices with microprocessor control for injecting fuel into a cylinder of an internal combustion engine. The shut-off unit comprises a spray nozzle (1) with a shut-off cone, jets (8) discharging onto the shut-off cone, and a needle (3). According to the invention, the shut-off part of the needle (3) is in the shape of a truncated cone with an angle equal to the angle of the shut-off cone of the spray nozzle (1), wherein a channel (5) is formed in the needle (3), between the lower end and the lateral surface thereof, for connecting a chamber (6) under the needle to a cavity (7) in the spray nozzle (1). The invention makes it possible to improve the uniformity of the injected fuel sprays, to reduce the needle lifting stroke, to increase the differential area of the needle and to prevent annular microscopic volumes at the entry into the jets.</p> |
