PURPOSE: A pneumatic tire is provided to improve the performance of a snowmobile without worsening other performances and to prevent a skid by improving lateral grip performance on a snow road. CONSTITUTION: A pneumatic tire comprises a buttress surface(3SB) and a line of projections. The buttress surface includes the radial outer area which is connected to a tread ground contact end(Te) of a tread portion on the surface of a sidewall portion. The line of projections comprises a plurality of projections(20). The projections spread along the circumference and are protruded from the buttress surface which is spaced apart in a radial inner direction from the tread ground contact end. The projection comprises a radial inner wall(21i) standing up from the buttress surface, a radial outer wall(21o), and an upper side(22) connecting the inner wall and the outer wall.
