<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide developer for electrostatic latent image development that prevents image defects to be caused by coarse surface of a latent image carrier during consecutive image formation and image defects to be caused by toner having fallen in a developer when an image is formed by an image forming device including the latent image carrier with a photosensitive layer formed of amorphous silicon and a cleaning part with an elastic blade, and to provide an image forming method using the developer for electrostatic latent image development. <P>SOLUTION: The developer for electrostatic latent image development contains positively charged toner and organic carboxylic acid metal salt.
