<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent movement of an electric vehicle when the battery of the electric vehicle is charged. <P>SOLUTION: The high-voltage battery 11 of the electric vehicle can be charged from an external power source 19 via a cable 18. In the case that the power source of the electric vehicle is in an ON state when the cable 18 is connected, the power source of the electric vehicle is changed over automatically to an OFF state. In the case that parking processing is not performed when the cable 18 is connected, the charging work is made to wait until the parking processing is completed. In the case that the parking processing is not performed when the cable 18 is connected, a parking ECU 22 automatically performs the parking processing by electric control.
