PURPOSE: An optical component package and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to accurately position a lens part by using a boundary part which is formed by performing a half etching process on the boundary of the lens part. CONSTITUTION: A metal layer is formed on an insulating layer having a via hole(120). A circuit pattern layer(132) is formed by etching the metal layer. A part of the metal layer is half-etched to form a groove-shaped boundary part(140). An optical device is mounted on the circuit pattern layer. Epoxy resin is coated on the optical device to form a molding unit(170).
