<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire for a heavy load, the tire capable of easily discharging a pebble pinched in a circumferential groove and effectively suppressing generation of cracks in a groove bottom of the circumferential groove. <P>SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire for a heavy load includes a circumferential groove 2 extending along a tire circumferential direction in a tread part; and the circumferential groove 2 includes a pair of projections 3a, 3b protruding from groove walls 2a, 2b, respectively, toward the inside of the circumferential groove 2 and extending along the groove walls 2a, 2b, respectively, in the tire circumferential direction. The outermost positions 4a, 4b in the tire radial direction of the pair of projections 3a, 3b, respectively, are formed in such a manner that in a region inward in the tire radial direction of the circumferential groove 2 from a position M that bisects a groove depth D of the circumferential groove 2, the outermost positions vary in a tire radial direction R along the groove walls 2a, 2b, and that in a cross-sectional view of the pair of projections 3a, 3b along the groove width direction of the circumferential groove 2, the outermost positions 4a, 4b are different from each other with respect to the tire radial direction R for the most part of the whole length of the projections 3a, 3b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
