<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector capable of suitably connecting optical transmission paths each other. <P>SOLUTION: An optical connector 3 includes a plug 15, a second holding member (a substrate 17 and a pedestal part 27) and a connection member 29 supported on the pedestal part 27 and engaged with the plug 15. The connection member 29 includes: an extension part 29a; a first engagement part 29ba protruded from the extension part 29a and allowed to be engaged with an engaged part 15f of the plug 15 in a direction from the first connection part 15d side to the second connection part 17cc side; and an abutting part 29c located on the second connection part 17cc side from the first engagement part 29ba of the extension part 29a and capable of abutting on the plug 15 to the protruded side of the first engagement part 29ba. A distance S<SB POS="POST">2</SB>from the second connection part 17cc up to the first engagement part 29ba in an x direction before the engagement of the first engagement part 29ba is shorter than a distance S<SB POS="POST">1</SB>from the first connection part 15d up to the engaged part 15f in the x direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
