<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent paper from being fed to an image forming section during a warmup operation. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device includes a power intermission mechanism 23 that transmits torque to a feeding section when an electric motor 20 is rotated in a normal direction, and intercepts the transmission of the torque to the feeding section when the electric motor 20 is rotated in a reverse direction. During the warmup operation, the electric motor 20 is rotated in a reverse direction, and during image formation, the electric motor 20 is rotated in a normal direction. Since the electric motor 20 is rotated in a reverse direction during the warmup operation, the transmission of the torque to the feeding section is intercepted. Paper is prevented from being fed to the image forming section during the warmup operation, and thereby the paper is prevented from being unnecessarily consumed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
