VASCULAR HOLE CLOSURE DELIVERY DEVICE Abstract A surgical delivery instrument (10) for delivering a vascular hole closure device (101) having a hole covering member (104). The delivery instrument (10) comprises a housing (12), a plunger (260) and an advancer (220) movable within the housing (12), the advancer (220) having a first portion and a distal portion hingedly connected to the first portion and forming a casing (228) for supporting the hole covering member (104). Distal movement of the advancer (220) pivots the casing (228) from an angled position to a more linear position to change the orientation of the covering member (104) from a transverse position to a more aligned position.
