PURPOSE: A positioning system of the wireless LAN based is provided to determine the position of the mobile wireless receiving device. CONSTITUTION: A base band module(205) of the AP(Access Point) device produces a plurality of unique identifier to allocate each beacon to the unique identifier in order to differentiate with other beacons. A transmitter(201) of the AP device receives the unique identifiers and is connected to the base band module to produce beacons to the radio frequency. When a mobile receiving device receives at least one of the transmitted beacons, the mobile receiving device determines the received signal parameter from at least one of the beacons received, and uses the received signal parameter in order to determine the position of the mobile receiving device. A directional antenna(204) of AP is connected to the transmitter in order to transmit each beacon to a direction different from other beacons.
