<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric resonator which can release heat generated in the middle of resonance operation from the surface efficiently without considerable deviation of a resonance frequency. <P>SOLUTION: A dielectric resonator comprises one main surface, the other main surface in parallel with the one main surface, and a peripheral surface vertical relative to the one main surface and the other main surface, and a plurality of holes extending in a direction vertical to the one main surface and having openings in any one of the one main surface and the other main surface are provided.
