The coil has a cage coil carrier (12) comprising two identically designed support halves (20) having a base portion (22) and a central sleeve portion (24). A concentric outer sleeve structure (26) is equipped with a central sleeve portion (24) axially protruded from the base portion. The outer sleeve structure is formed with an end edge (28) with recesses (30) and elevations (32) having the same boundary contours. The locking elements are formed between the central sleeve portion and the outer sleeve portion, along two concentric circles from the base portion.
