<p>The slicer (10) has a cutting blade (11) i.e. spiral blade, moving in a cutting plane (S) to cut-off slices from a food product (21) e.g. meat, to be supplied to the cutting plane. A blade changing unit (30) automatically replaces the blade with a replacement cutting blade (41) with presence of a change criterion. The blade is moved in a rotating and/or revolving manner in the cutting plane and releasably connected to a blade mount (13), and the blade changing unit removes the blade from the mount and connects the cutting blade to the mount with presence of the change criterion. An independent claim is also included for a method for slicing food products.</p> |
