PURPOSE: An error diagnosis system of an FSD(Fuel System Diagnosis) device and a method for the same are provided to accurately diagnose errors of a monitoring device with consideration for a control value of a lambda controller and a fuel learning value of a vehicle in a maxi-purge state of canister purge valve. CONSTITUTION: An error diagnosis system of an FSD device comprises a diagnosis condition confirming unit(100), a valve control unit(200), and an error diagnosis unit(300). The diagnosis condition confirming unit determines whether a diagnosis condition is satisfied or not by comparing at least one pre-designated parameter value set according to a current fuel injecting state and a critical value. When the diagnosis condition is satisfied, the valve control unit confirms a preset purge state of a canister purge valve, thereby stopping the operation of the canister purge valve for a set period. The error diagnosis unit diagnoses errors of the FSD device by monitoring the displacement of a control value of a lambda controller while the operation of the canister purge valve is stopped.
