Device and method for detecting supply shortfalls in a network

The device e.g. communication device (10), has a hardware unit (12) including an input/output unit (14) for receiving and detecting real time-data e.g. received signal code power, and supplying the real time-data to a processor (16). The processor processes the real time-data. A storage unit (18) stores the real time-data. Threshold values of the real time-data are contained in the storage unit and supplied to the processor for evaluating the detected real time-data using other data e.g. propagation delay. The processor detects supply shortfalls by comparison with the threshold values. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a mobile multi-technological terminal (2) a method for detecting permanent and/or temporary supply shortfalls in a network.
