A sloped floor former for installation within solid or timber flooring comprises an outer edge 2, an opening that receives waste water and at least one sloping surface 3. The former is also provided with an integral waterproof membrane 14 and floor material 15. The membrane may not be adhered to the outer edge and may extend to the opening, and may have a textured surface for receiving tiles or adhesive. The opening may provide a recess comprising an upper portion with a cross-section greater than the profile of a lower portion, the lower portion being arranged to receive a waste-water assembly. The upper portion may have a square/rectangular cross-section whilst the lower portion may be cylindrical. A frame 9 may be provided within the recess along with a cover 12. A plurality of frame and cover units having a range of different heights and/or shapes may also be provided. |
