<p>PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and an operating control method of the mobile terminal are provided to supply a user interface for inputting characters through a keypad array and editing the inputted characters. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(180) displays a keypad array for inputting characters through a touch screen. The control unit receives a first character through the keypad array. When a preset event for the first character is generated, the control unit changes a display state of the keypad array to display the same.
