PURPOSE:To provide high sensitivity and superior pressure resistance by using silver halide particles contg. a prescribed amount of silver bromide and com posed of layers having limited parts contg. a prescribed amount of silver chlo ride. CONSTITUTION:Silver halide particles having >=80mol% silver bromide content as a whole, having limited parts whose silver chloride contents are different from each other by at lest 25% and contg at least 5mol% silver chloride in the outermost layers are used. The preferred amount of silver bromide in the outermost layers is 60-95mol%, especially 80-95mol%. The preferred amount of silver chloride in the 1st layers is 100-25mol%, especially 100-60mol%. The preferred amount of silver bromide in the 2nd layers is 100-40mol%, especially 100-60mol% (excluding the case in which the 2nd layer is the outer most layer, because the content of silver in the outermost layer is made 5mol%). |
