PURPOSE: An ice protecting structure for an arctic class unit or marine structure is provided to absorb impact from floating ice by surrounding a body of the marine structure or ship with tension cables. CONSTITUTION: An ice protecting structure includes a tension cable(140). A tension cable is reversely inclined from a body(100) of a marine structure or ship to the outside with a preset space. Floating ice(1) does not collide with the ship or marine structure and falls under the water level. The tension cable is inserted into the hole formed on an upper bracket(110) and a lower bracket(130) protruded from the body. A reinforcement plate is installed on the bracket. |
