PURPOSE:To operate a timer constituting part in a clock device having a timer as a normal timer function or the 2nd alarm function by inhibiting timer operation at the operation of a ringing stop switch when a clock constituting part provided with an alarm hand and the timer constituting part which can be optionally separated/coupled are coupled with each other. CONSTITUTION:When the clock constituting part 4 provided with the alarm hand is coupled with the timer constituting part 6, contacts 60, 70 are connected, and when the ringing stop switch 30 is turned on and the ringing stop of an alarm is released, a low level output through an inverter 56 in a timer function switching circuit 200 is selected by a multiplexer 114 in a timer function switching circuit 300 in the constituting part 6. Consequently, transistors (TRs) 116, 118 are turned off and the rotation of a timer motor 90 is inhibited. Said inhibition is released by turning off the switch 3 in the alarm ringing stop state and the constituting part 6 is acted as the 2nd alarm. When both the constituting parts 5, 6 are separated, these parts 5, 6 are acted independently. Thus, the timer constituting part can be operated as the normal timer function or the 2nd alarm function. |
