PURPOSE: A laminate covered battery is provided to have high sealing reliability and stable quality in a cross-sectional region of a sealing part. CONSTITUTION: A laminate covered battery comprises: an electrode body(10) with a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate; a laminate exterior body which has an inner space accommodating the electrode body in a metal laminate sheet consisting of a metal layer and a resin layer, and has a sealing part(20c) sealing the outer edge part of the laminate sheet after accommodating the electrode body; and a positive electrode tap and a negative electrode tap(15) each of which consists of a conductive material, and connected to each of the positive electrode plate and negative electrode plate. A part of each positive electrode tap and negative electrode tap is extended to outside across the sealing part of the laminate exterior.
