<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device capable of enhancing display quality, and further to provide an electronic apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal device comprises: an element substrate 10 and a counter substrate bonded to each other through a sealing material 40; and an inorganic oriented film 18 that is formed on at least one substrate of the element substrate 10 and the counter substrate and to which surface treatment by a silane coupling agent is applied.
