<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mist generator that improves operability and a cosmetic device including such a mist generator. <P>SOLUTION: The cosmetic device 1 is provided with a mist generation mechanism, which generates mist from a liquid, a tubular housing 12, which includes a nozzle including a discharge port 2 that discharges the generated mist, and fixed to the housing, and a discharge port cover 13, which is movable in an axial direction of the housing 12 to open and close the discharge port 2.
