ROTARY DAMPER, AND DAMPING DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the rotation center of a rotary damper always constant in regard to a shaft in a coupling member.

SOLUTION: A rotary damper D, which damps a torque between a shaft (a) in the coupling member 6 and a seat which rotates relatively with respect to the shaft (a), includes: a casing 16 of a damping mechanism; the coupling member 6 which is attached to the shaft (a) while being provided to the casing 16; and an arm member which transmits the torque of the seat relative to the shaft (a) to the damping mechanism 15. The axis center of the coupling member 6 and the rotation center of the rotary damper D are offset, and at the same time, the arm member is equipped with rollers to be brought into contact with the seat.
