<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing device which can provide a user with even information that is not preregistered with a database. <P>SOLUTION: An information providing device comprises: a database 1 for managing POI information on map data; probe data collection means for collecting pieces of probe data indicating vehicle travel data from a plurality of vehicles; point location means for locating a stop-by point which is stopped by a plurality of vehicles on the basis of the probe data collected by the probe data collection means; and providing means for providing a user of a vehicle with information on the stop-by point with which POI information managed by the database 1 is not registered. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
