<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outboard motor that can reliably separate water, contained in air, from the air. <P>SOLUTION: The outboard motor 10 includes an air intake passage which can introduce air, sucked into an engine cover 24, into a throttle body. The air intake passage includes a tubular air intake guide part 87, a guide bottom 81 and a drainage channel 91. The tubular air intake guide part 87 is vertically provided so that can separate water from the air sucked into the engine cover 24. In addition, the guide bottom 81 is formed in such an inclined shape as to assume a descending slope toward an air intake opening 26 from the tubular air intake guide part 87. Furthermore, the drainage channel 91 is provided on the guide bottom 81 so that can guide the water, which is separated by the tubular air intake guide part 87, toward the air intake opening 26 from the tubular air intake guide part 87. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
