<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron beam pumped light source device in which vacuum tightness of a vacuum container is ensured because cracking does not take place when bonding the container body and the light transmission window material of the vacuum container even if they are composed of dissimilar materials having a difference in the linear thermal expansion coefficients. <P>SOLUTION: The electron beam pumped light source device is provided with an electron beam source and a semiconductor light-emitting element in a vacuum container consisting of a container body having an aperture, and a light transmission window material which is bonded airtightly by a sealing part so as to close the aperture. The sealing part consists of a first glass layer in contact with the light transmission window material and a second glass layer in contact with the container body, both formed of glass frit of different type having an identical main component. Following relations are satisfied; α(A0)>α(B0), α(A0)>α(A), α(B0)>α(B), where α(A0), α(B0), α(A), and α(B) are the linear thermal expansion coefficients of the light transmission window material, the container body, the first glass layer and the second glass layer, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
