<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate an operation of zero point adjustment which is performed when a resolver is assembled to a housing. <P>SOLUTION: A resolver includes: a rotor 13 which is fixed to a rotational axis 11; an annular stator 12 which faces the rotor 13 at a gap; a cylindrical case 15 which holds the stator 12; and a rolling bearing 14 which is provided between the case 15 and the rotational axis 11 and allows relative rotation of the case 15 and the rotational axis 11. A part 15a of the case 15 is exposed from an opening 6 which is formed in the housing 35 to the outside of the housing. In the case 15, a long hole 32 which is long in the peripheral direction centering around the axis center O of the case 15 is formed, and the case 15 is tightened and fixed to the housing 35 by a bolt 38 into which the long hole 32 is inserted.
