摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device for vehicle in which the open circuit or the internal short circuit of a battery can be determined even when a load of the vehicle is consuming electrical power. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply device 10 for vehicle includes a charge/discharge circuit 15, a power storage section 19, and a control circuit 23. The control circuit 23 controls the charge/discharge circuit 15 so that the I/O voltage (Vb) drops from a predetermined initial voltage (Vbs) larger than a predetermined battery open circuit voltage (Vbo) down to a predetermined completion voltage (Vbe) smaller than the battery open circuit voltage (Vbo), and the power storage section 19 is discharged during the idling stop of a vehicle. Thereafter, the I/O voltage (Vb) is detected, and if it is equal to or lower than the predetermined completion voltage (Vbe), a determination is made that the battery 11 is open-circuited or short-circuited internally. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
