<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network system with enhanced tolerance to system down. <P>SOLUTION: A network formed by using ARCNET (R) is provided with a detection unit d in a port of an active hub 100 to which a node is connected, detects a burst signal from a duration time of a level signal, detects the occurrence of abnormality in consecutive-burst transmission, opens a port to which an abnormal node is connected by means of a cutoff unit, and isolates the abnormal node from the network. After a recovery node was connected to the active hub, the network closes the port to connect the node and performs log-on processing when receiving a burst signal from the node if it did not detect a burst about one-second waiting after it had received consecutive-burst signals three times. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
